Smith Interferes Again

The ongoing effort by the weaponized Biden/Harris Justice Department to interfere in the election by waging lawfare against Donald Trump continues.

Special Counsel Jack Smith announced a new indictment against Trump yesterday afternoon – just 70 days before the election. This indictment supposedly takes into account the Supreme Court’s decision on presidential immunity.

Of course, legal experts are highly critical of Smith’s move. (Here and here.) But the finer points of the law are irrelevant. This was a publicity stunt to smear Trump in the media, just as the presidential campaign is heating up.

There is virtually no chance that the case advances before the election, but we’ve been surprised before. We will wait and see.

Meanwhile, there’s a big day coming up in September when the fanatical Trump-hating judge in New York decides whether to send Trump to jail . . . now. Does all hell break loose? And what happens next?

Still No Answers

It’s been six weeks since the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Six weeks and there are still virtually no answers. The only new development is that at least five Secret Service agents were put on leave.

There are reports that the FBI has been able to gain access to two of the three encrypted accounts on the shooter’s phone. If that’s true, why aren’t we getting more information?

Sen. Ron Johnson blasted the Secret Service and the FBI for “dragging their feet” and “stonewalling” the congressional investigation into the attempted assassination of the former president.

“We’re not getting squat,” Johnson said during a recent Fox News interview, adding that that what little information they are getting is so redacted that it is totally useless. Johnson declared:

“If you want to design an investigation to raise suspicions and drive conspiracy theories, this is exactly how you do that investigation. It was just jaw-dropping that they released the body for cremation before anybody’s seen any autopsy or toxicology reports. It’s just driving suspicion and conspiracy theories.”

Sadly, Senator Johnson is right.

What could be in any document regarding the attempt on Trump’s life by a deranged 20 year-old that is so sensitive? Who are they hiding it from? Elected officials? The American people?

In addition, Senator Josh Hawley says that new whistleblowers claim that the Secret Service leadership explicitly told their field agents handling the Butler rally not to request additional support.

This is totally ridiculous. And it is proof that Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., are absolutely right: the biggest danger to America right now is the Deep State.

By the way, the shooter’s parents, who are economically challenged, just hired lawyers from Quinn Logue, one of the top-ranked law firms in the state of Pennsylvania. Who’s paying for that?

More Censorship

Hillsdale College is one of the finest actual colleges in America today. It is a true institution of higher learning, committed to teaching students the truth, not leftist propaganda.

Appropriately for our times, Hillsdale just launched a new course on the realities of repressive ideologies, including Marxism, communism, and socialism. Ironically, but not surprisingly given our times, Facebook once again demonstrated its own repressive ideology and immediately took down Hillsdale’s online course page.

The page was restored after nearly four days of objections and public pressure from Hillsdale. Of course, Facebook claimed it was an innocent mistake, just another hiccup in the algorithms. But these “mistakes” always go in one direction – they punish conservatives and protect the left.

A perfect example of the battle that is being waged every day to shut down free speech and open debate, the very rights our constitutional Republic depends on to survive.

Department Of Homeland Stupidity

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was created in the wake of 9/11 – the worst attack on American soil. As the name implies, it’s mission is to protect our country and keep us safe. Under the Biden/Harris administration, it is failing in multiple ways, most obviously by failing to secure the border.

That, of course, is a decision driven purely by left-wing ideological nonsense. And like most government agencies under the control of the far-left Biden/Harris regime, the Department of Homeland Security is infected with ideological nonsense.  Here’s the latest example.

DHS recently released its Information Technology Strategic Plan for the next four years. Given the flood of gang members, criminal aliens, and foreign terrorists coming across the border, a better screening system might be a top priority.

Or, given the shocking news that the Biden/Harris administration has lost 300,000 migrant children, one might expect a top priority would be developing a system to ensure that the government has the capacity to track and protect these kids. (This from the party that claims it is “all about the children.”)

But neither of those critically important issues topped the list of technology upgrades at DHS. Instead of something useful, something that makes sense, the top technology priority at the Department of Homeland Security is DEI – diversity, equity, and inclusion.

So, DHS is going to push DEI over the next four years, all in an effort to tie the hands of the next conservative administration. That’s not going to protect our homeland. If anything, this waste of taxpayer resources will make us less safe.

Faith Under Fire

Left-wing Minnesota bureaucrats appointed by Gov. Tim Walz just finalized new regulations for teachers in the state. Beginning in July 2025, prospective teachers must “affirm” transgenderism and Marxist critical race theory in order to get a teaching license in the North Star State.

This is just another example of the left’s obsession with exposing children at the earliest possible age to LGBTQ propaganda and indoctrinating the next generation.

The practical impact of these regulations is that it will be very difficult, if not impossible, for a believing Christian or Muslim to teach in Minnesota’s public schools. By the way, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are adamantly opposed to any school choice program that would give parents options if they don’t want their children indoctrinated in the classroom.

The neo-Marxists are pushing these radical regulations in the name of “tolerance,” but they don’t want you to be able to escape their indoctrination. How’s that for tolerance? It fits perfectly with the left’s intolerant demands that we must celebrate the LGBTQ agenda and lifestyle.

This issue is a goldmine for the Trump/Vance campaign to use in targeted advertising to parents with children in public schools.

If challenged in court, I think there is a 50/50 chance that these regulations will be struck down by the Supreme Court. But keep in mind that this is only possible because Donald Trump appointed three justices to fill three Supreme Court vacancies, giving us the strongest majority for religious liberty in the past 50 years.

Poll Position

There is growing evidence that Kamala Harris received virtually no bounce coming out of the Democrat National Convention. In fact, it seems that Trump may be picking up momentum in the aftermath of the Republican National Convention and his endorsement from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

For example, the latest Economist/YouGov national poll found that Harris has dropped one point in the past week, and there has been an even bigger shift among independent voters.

Three weeks ago, Harris and Trump were tied at 36% each among independent voters. Now, Trump leads 42% to 37% among this vital voting bloc.

Here’s something to consider. Georgia is a critical state for both candidates. Harris and Walz are currently on a bus tour of the Peach State. But the latest New York Times/Sienna poll finds Trump leading Harris by four points among Georgia voters.
