Trump Fights For Women

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced this morning that the Trump administration is filing a federal lawsuit against the state of Maine for discriminating against women. 

Nearly two months ago, President Trump publicly called out Janet Mills, Maine’s leftist governor, at a White House event for refusing to comply with his executive order to stop men from cheating in women’s sports. When the governor resisted, Trump threatened to cut off federal funding to Maine. Mills replied, “See you in court.” 

In the intervening weeks, the Trump administration tried repeatedly to get Maine to cooperate, but the state’s leftist bureaucrats dug in. Now Mills will get her day in court. 

I wouldn’t be surprised if the administration loses initial cases in the lower courts. While I hope the Supreme Court eventually takes the case, I’m not as confident as I once was given the drift of Justices Roberts and Barrett. But this is a battle worth fighting.

It’s also another reminder of just how extreme today’s Democrat Party has become. Polls show that 64% of Maine’s liberal residents oppose men cheating in women’s sports. 

But the Left is willing to sacrifice the privacy, physical safety, and the hopes and dreams of young women to satisfy the fragile egos of sick men pretending to be women.

Common Sense Prevails

In related news, Great Britain’s Supreme Court just ruled that the legal definition of “man” and “woman” is based on science and biological sex, not an imagined “gender identity.” Women’s bathrooms are for women only. 

In their ruling, the justices stated the obvious, declaring:

“The concept of sex is binary, a person is either a woman or a man. . . the ordinary meaning of those plain and unambiguous words corresponds with the biological characteristics that make an individual a man or a woman. . . Properly understood these further provisions would be unworkable, inconsistent, and incoherent if they bore a [gender identity meaning].”

In addition to Great Britain, Hungary just enshrined the biological definitions of “man” and “woman” in the nation’s constitution. 

So, just as European nations are ahead of American leftists in recognizing the dangers and risks of sterilizing and mutilating transgender procedures, they are also ahead of American leftists in recognizing reality. 

America Last

Many Americans watching the news are dumbfounded by the Left’s latest cause célèbre -- illegal alien gang members. 

No one disputes that Kilmar Garcia entered the country illegally. He was arrested. He went through multiple rounds of immigration hearings. He was determined to be a ranking member of MS-13. He was ordered to be deported, which the Trump administration just did.

Now, Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, and other congressional Democrats are on their way to El Salvador to check on Garcia’s well-being and, ultimately, to bring this illegal alien gang member back to the United States. These Democrats never went to the border to see the crisis they created, but they’ll fly over the border to bring illegal alien gang members back.

Democrats want all illegal aliens in the country to stay here forever, access welfare programs, and register to vote. They’re open about it. 

Rather than cheering this open borders insanity, Maryland residents ought to be staging mass demonstrations outside Van Hollen’s office. 

Not long ago, a Maryland middle school in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Prince George’s County, just 10 miles from the White House, was overrun by MS-13 gang members. 

The state has seen numerous high-profile cases of Maryland residents being killed by illegal aliens. Two MS-13 gang members were just indicted for murder in Maryland. One case made national headlines when Rachel Morin was brutally murdered. Her illegal alien killer was just convicted by a Maryland jury. 

But while Van Hollen is flying to El Salvador on the taxpayer’s dime to champion the cause of an illegal alien gang member, he’s said nothing about his constituent, Rachel Morin, and her five children. 

Democrats want the names of American victims -- Laken Riley, Nate Baker, Omar Hernandez, Rachel Morin, and too many more -- to be forgotten as quickly as possible. 

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt ripped into the Left for its love affair with illegal aliens yesterday, saying:

“The Democrat and media outrage over the deportation of . . . an MS-13, El Salvadorian, illegal alien criminal . . . has been nothing short of despicable. Based on the sensationalism of many of the people in this room, you would think we deported a candidate for ‘Father of the Year.’

“That’s because, unfortunately, many in this country care more about this quote-unquote Maryland father, illegal alien MS-13 gang member, than a Maryland mother and an American citizen who was brutally murdered at the hands of a different illegal alien. Of course, I am referring to Rachel Morin.”

Meanwhile, the leftist judge who made headlines in this case is getting ready to charge the Trump administration with criminal contempt of court for daring to enforce the nation’s immigration laws.

It’s vitally important for Americans to understand what is going on here. What we’re witnessing is a leftist psychological operation to indoctrinate us. 

Garcia is almost always described by the media as “a Maryland father of three.” So what? Plenty of fathers who committed crimes are in prison, separated from their children.

The point is to make you feel sympathy for this gang member as if an American father from Maryland, rather than an illegal alien from El Salvador, had just been deported. 

By the way, the wife of this “father” had multiple domestic violence restraining orders issued against him. Have you heard that before?

When Donald Trump was being persecuted by the Left, did the media ever refer to him as “a Florida father of five and grandfather of ten”? Of course not.

The only reason to refer to Garcia as “a father” is to break the resistance of the American people to their country being invaded by illegal aliens and to break the will of the American people to expel them. 

The media often show Garcia wearing a Chicago Bulls hat. The message being communicated is that he’s just another sports fan, like you. That’s a lie. Garcia never lived in Chicago. And while the media often claim there is no evidence he is a gang member, the bull is a well-known symbol of MS-13. 

For the sake of argument, let’s concede that even though Garcia is from El Salvador, a court determined he shouldn’t be sent back there. Do you know why? He told the court that a rival gang might kill him because of his membership in MS-13. So, he admitted he is a gang member. 

But let’s assume that El Salvador agrees to send him back to the United States. As a gang member and a member of a designated terrorist group, his status as an illegal alien, and his past run-ins with law enforcement, Garcia is immediately deportable to another country the second he lands here. 

Do you think all the leftists screaming now will be okay with that? Of course not. They’ve turned him into the Patron Saint of Open Borders.

Today’s Democrats no longer believe in the concept of borders. They don’t believe America is a good nation. They’re uncomfortable with patriotism. 

When there’s a battle with communist China over trade, they side with communist China. When there’s a battle on our campuses between Hamas sympathizers and Jewish students, they side with the Hamas sympathizers. 

This is a globalist, borderless ideology attempting to do everything it can to prevent American citizens from reclaiming control of our borders and the concept of citizenship. They want to blur the line between illegal aliens and citizens as much as possible, if not completely obliterate it. 

As DOGE has discovered, they want the 15 million illegal aliens to stay here because they are already in the process of registering to vote.

Trump’s Sermon

A year ago, Joe Biden issued a very short Easter message that quickly went from Jesus to globalist mush. At the same time, he issued a lengthy statement praising the “extraordinary courage and contributions” of people struggling with the mental disorder of transgenderism. This year, it’s the exact opposite.

President Trump’s Holy Week Easter message is an extraordinary presentation of Christian theology and the Gospel. Sadly, there are many mainline churches where it is not preached as clearly as it is in Trump’s message. Consider this excerpt:

“During this sacred week, we acknowledge that the glory of Easter Sunday cannot come without the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross. In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation. 

“Through His suffering, we have redemption. Through His death, we are forgiven of our sins. Through His Resurrection, we have hope of eternal life. On Easter morning, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and light prevails over darkness—signaling that death does not have the final word.

“This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government. We will never waver in safeguarding the right to religious liberty, upholding the dignity of life, and protecting God in our public square.”
