No Sanctuary For Thugs

Several weeks ago, Border Czar Tom Homan promised he would “bring hell” to the sanctuary city of Boston, Massachusetts. Homan kept his promise.

Last week, federal agents arrested 370 illegal aliens in Boston and in surrounding communities. According to ICE, 205 of these aliens had “significant criminal convictions or charges,” including four who were wanted for murder and at least three wanted for sex crimes against children.

Members of the vicious foreign gangs MS-13 and Tren de Aragua were arrested, more than 100 weapons were seized, and federal agents also confiscated enough fentanyl to theoretically kill two million people.

The detained illegal aliens came from Brazil, Russia, Guatemala, El Salvador, Jamaica, Chile, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and other nations. Is this an example of how diversity is our strength?

I’m sure Tom Homan isn’t waiting for Boston’s left-wing mayor to say, “Thank you” for making her streets safer.

Arrogance & Ignorance

While federal agents are risking their lives to get violent criminal aliens off our streets, the Trump administration is having to fight Democrats and left-wing activists in the courts who want to keep these thugs here.

President Trump is appealing the outrageous orders of a radical Obama judge who demanded that deported gang members be brought back to the United States. (See below.)

During a hearing yesterday in the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Patricia Millett, another Obama appointee, claimed that “Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act” than Trump gave the deported gang members.

I don’t know what Judge Millett is talking about. I’m only aware of one case where Nazis entered the United States and were apprehended by law enforcement.

On June 13, 1942, the first team of Nazi saboteurs was released from a U-boat and landed on the north end of Long Island, New York. A few days later, the second team came ashore south of Jacksonville, Florida. By the end of the month, all eight were in FBI custody.

They were tried and convicted. Two men cooperated with the FBI and were eventually deported to Germany by Harry Truman. The other six were executed on August 8th in a Washington, D.C., jail. It was less than 60 days from their arrests to their executions.

So, in addition to not knowing the law, it seems Millett doesn’t know much about American history either.

Another Nazi Analogy – Wrong Again

Here’s another example of arrogance and ignorance.

Columbia University Professor Reinhold Martin just provided strong evidence for the growing belief that our “institutions of higher learning” are actually making people dumber.

Asked during a recent interview how he viewed the Trump administration’s efforts to fight antisemitism on American college campuses, Martin first rambled about how professors are under siege and how academia needs more public solidarity.

Then, he replied, “So, this is a moment of truth. We’re in New York in 2025 with echoes of Frankfurt and Berlin in 1933. That’s the context in which we need to understand this.”

In other words, Martin is equating Trump’s crackdown on campus antisemitism with the actual antisemitism in Nazi Germany. The historical comparison is valid, but backwards.

Jewish students were being terrorized by Nazi youth on university campuses in 1930s Germany. Now, nearly 100 years later, it’s still Jewish students who are being terrorized by the new Nazi youth of the radical left and radical Islamists in New York in 2025.

The professor is on the side of the Nazis!

Bondi v. Boasberg

In response to Judge James Boasberg’s demands for additional information on the deportation of illegal alien gang members, Attorney General Pam Bondi essentially told the judge, “Go pound sand!” She informed Boasberg in no uncertain terms that the administration was done dealing with him and that he was out of his lane.

In the government’s latest court filing, Bondi declared:

“The Executive Branch hereby notifies the Court that no further information will be provided . . . based on the state secrets privilege and the concurrently filed declarations of the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security.

“This is a case about the President’s plenary authority, derived from Article II and the mandate of the electorate . . . to remove from the homeland designated terrorists participating in a state-sponsored invasion of, and predatory incursion into, the United States. The Court has all of the facts it needs. . .

“Further intrusions on the Executive Branch would present dangerous and wholly unwarranted separation-of-powers harms with respect to diplomatic and national security concerns that the Court lacks competence to address. Accordingly, the state secrets privilege forecloses further demands for details that have no place in this matter. . .”

Judge Boasberg gave attorneys for the deported gang members until the end of the month to respond to the administration’s use of the state secrets privilege and refusal to provide any further information.

Step Up, Chief!

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who has a law degree from Harvard, said Judge Boasberg admitted that the Trump administration may actually prevail on the merits of the case regarding the president’s authority to deport illegal alien gang members.

That admission is odd because nationwide injunctive relief by a lower-level judge has historically been rare. It’s only done when the judge strongly believes that his actions will prevail through the appeals process. Otherwise, the judge is thwarting the legal process of the United States and usurping powers that are not his.

This is another example of why Chief Justice John Roberts needs to step up and do something now. This is exactly the right time for a cautionary statement by Roberts about the unprecedented abuse of nationwide injunctive orders by lower court judges.

Roberts doesn’t have to wait for a case to reach the Supreme Court to make a statement. He knows what’s going on. He is the head of the federal judiciary, and he is responsible for ensuring his branch of government stays in its lane.

It’s troubling, and it may be significant, that Roberts has failed to do anything about these rogue district court judges while putting out a statement critical of the president and saying impeachment is not a proper response to judicial overreach.

Double Standards On Display

The Washington establishment is in a tizzy today over a private chat among top officials regarding the recent Houthi bombing campaign. Somehow, Jeffrey Goldberg, the Trump-hating far-left editor of The Atlantic, got an invitation to the group chat.

Democrats and their media allies are trying to turn this into the biggest breach of national security since Donald Trump took papers he was entitled to and locked them in a room at Mar-a-Lago.

Initial reports indicated that National Security Advisor Mike Waltz accidentally invited Goldberg to the chat session. President Trump said today that it was a staff member in Waltz’s office who accidentally included Goldberg, who has the same initials as the U.S. trade representative.

Trump also said that he fully supports Waltz, adding, “He’s not getting fired” because it was a simple mistake and there was “nothing important” in the chat.

Liberal reporters are saying the app is unsecured and no one in the government should be using it. But it has been widely used by government employees for years. In fact, there are instructions for government employees on how to use it properly because the Biden administration encouraged its use!

So again, the media are deliberately distorting the facts.

There is a lot of gnashing of teeth today by the same media outlets and leftists who defended Joe Biden for keeping classified documents in his beach house garage, documents that went all the way back to when he was a senator with no ability to declassify anything.

And these same media outlets defended Hillary Clinton for using her personal computer to transmit classified materials.

If the media didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all.

More Double Standards

Over the years, whenever someone committed acts of vandalism or made threats in the service of some cause of the right, the press had a predictable reaction.

If someone spray-painted “Baby Killers” on an abortion clinic in South Dakota, my phone would blow up with supposedly serious journalists demanding to know if I would condemn the vandalism of an abortion clinic in Sioux Falls.

When absolute monsters blew up the federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995, every leading conservative was blamed because conservatives are critical of big government. Rush Limbaugh was crucified because he routinely railed against big government.

To the left, if you criticize big government you are, of course, responsible for the bombing of a government building.

But I have not heard one reporter ask Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, or fill in the blank with your favorite leftist goofball about prominent Democrats calling Elon Musk a Nazi.

They are never asked, “Senator Schumer, are you going to publicly condemn the violence against Tesla?” It is a telling realization of the benign environment the left gets to operate in and the hostile environment we are forced to operate in.

About Those Burning Teslas. . .

Electric cars have large lithium batteries, and lithium fires cannot be put out with water. So, when Teslas are set on fire, they can burn for hours. During those hours, those fires release all kinds of chemicals and gases into the atmosphere that are bad for the planet and bad for your lungs.

In addition, research shows that the vast majority of electric vehicle owners identify as liberal Democrats.

So, the woke wing of the Democrat Party is setting fires, polluting the air, risking people’s lives, and destroying the property of fellow Democrats. Not to mention the fact they are trying to hurt the man who has produced more technology to help the planet than 10,000 Greta Thunbergs or Joe Bidens ever could.
