Pro-Abortion Extremism
With the full blessing of the Biden White House, Senate Democrats are attempting to pass federal legislation to codify Roe v. Wade, creating a nationwide abortion law.
The bill, which is expected to be voted on tomorrow, is called the Women's Health Protection Act. It has nothing to do with women's health or health care.
Health care is about saving life. This bill is all about abortion on demand, and abortion is about guaranteeing death. And that is the highest priority for Senate Democrats right now – voting on a law to guarantee more death in America.
This legislation puts the Democrat Party's pro-abortion extremism on full display. It allows for abortion on demand, for any reason throughout all nine months of pregnancy. It repeals every pro-life state law, including parental notification laws and laws banning the gruesome procedure of partial-birth abortion.
Allowing abortion at any time for any reason is an extreme position supported by just 17% of Americans. But tomorrow, virtually every Senate Democrat, including Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey who has always claimed to be pro-life, will vote for this radical, pro-abortion bill.
If that wasn't extreme enough, this radical pro-abortion bill never mentions the word "woman" and only mentions the plural "women" once -- in the title of the bill. Just like the left's radical female Supreme Court nominee could not tell us what a "woman" is, the left dares not offend "the pregnant man."
My friends, it's easy to laugh at this. But it's no laughing matter. Today's Democrat Party is insane!

Scott v. Yellin
There was an extraordinary exchange on Capitol Hill this morning that likely won't make headlines, but it should.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was testifying before the Senate Banking Committee, and she used the opportunity to argue that abortion was good for the economy because it would keep more women in the workforce paying taxes.
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott blasted Yellin's remarks as "disturbing." He said:
"I think people can disagree on the issue of being pro-life or pro-abortion. But framing it in the context of labor force participation just feels callous to me. Finding a way to have a debate around abortion in a meeting about the economic stability of our country is harsh. . . As a guy raised by a black woman in abject poverty, I'm thankful to be here."
Kudos to Sen. Scott for calling out Yellin's dismissive view of life.
Biden v. Scott
President Joe Biden delivered remarks today at the White House that administration officials initially said would "focus on his plan to fight inflation." Instead, Biden spent most of his time picking a fight with Florida Senator Rick Scott.
For example, Biden claimed that "ultra MAGA Republicans" want to raise taxes on millions of hard-working Americans. That charge is based on Scott's suggestion that it's not good for democracy if millions of people don't pay any federal income taxes at all. Even if they pay just $1.00, Scott believes it is good for everyone to have a stake in the country.
That's an interesting philosophical argument, but it's nothing more than that. It's not the Republican Party's plan. It's not the Senate GOP's plan. Mitch McConnell hasn't endorsed it. It's nobody's plan, and Scott said so himself, "This is what Rick Scott believes in, it's not the Republican plan. . . It's nobody else's policy ideas."
The liberal Washington Post gave Biden "Three Pinocchios" for making this false claim before, but he repeated it again today. That's no surprise – he regularly lies.
And let's be absolutely clear about this: While Biden talks about imaginary tax hikes, the soaring inflation he created is a very real tax on the American people, costing them hundreds of dollars every month!
Biden went on to blame high gas prices on the energy industry and Vladimir Putin. That's another lie.
Long before Putin invaded Ukraine, leading liberal economists were warning that Biden's massive deficit spending was going to cause an inflationary nightmare.
Biden is also calling for higher taxes on corporations and businesses. Now, I'm not going out of my way to defend Corporate America that's pushing a woke agenda on men and women of faith. But the last thing we should be doing when inflation is out of control is raising taxes on businesses.
Taxes are just part of the cost of doing business, and unlike the federal government, businesses cannot print money.
If you raise the cost of doing business, businesses will simply pass on those costs by raising the price of their products. They will recoup higher taxes through higher prices that you have to pay.
Sadly, this kind of deflection and demagoguery is all the Democrats have.
Sen. Rick Scott responded to President Biden's rambling remarks today. In a blistering statement, Scott said Biden was "unfit" and "incoherent, incapacitated and confused," adding that the best thing Biden could do to address the inflation crisis is to resign.
Where's The FBI?
Last night, left-wing demonstrators once again descended on the quiet Alexandria, Virginia, neighborhood where Justice Samuel Alito lives. Their actions are a clear violation of federal law that prohibits demonstrating outside of judges' homes. Here is the language of the relevant federal statute:
"Whoever, with the intent of interfering with, obstructing, or impeding the administration of justice, or with the intent of influencing any judge . . . in the discharge of his duty, pickets or parades in or near a building housing a court of the United States, or in or near a building or residence occupied or used by such judge . . . or resorts to any other demonstration in or near any such building or residence, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both."
Of course, Attorney General Merrick Garland, who was quick to go after concerned parents at school board meetings, hasn't been heard from or seen in days. Where is he? And where is FBI Director Christopher Wray?
Meanwhile, protesting outside of homes is also a violation of Virginia state law. Governor Glenn Youngkin is vowing to ensure the safety of all Virginia residents.
