Xi Makes The Case

Earlier this month, communist China banned the export of key rare earth minerals in retaliation against U.S. trade policy. China’s communist dictator, Premier Xi, just made the case for Donald Trump’s tariffs. This New York Post headline sums it up well:

China Suspends Rare Earth Exports, Kneecapping U.S. Industry Reliant On Beijing’s ‘Monopoly.’”

Rare earth minerals are essential to everything in modern life, including our national security. We have rare earth minerals in the United States, but we only have one operational mine, which produces a small fraction of the global supply of rare earth minerals, and we only have one rare earth processing facility.

That wasn’t always the case. Decades ago, the United States was a global leader in the production of rare earth minerals. But, like virtually everything else, our stupid trade policies sent those jobs to communist China. And what our trade policies didn’t destroy, the radical environmental movement finished off.

Now, communist China has cornered the market on rare earths, controlling at least 60% of mining and 85% of processing. In cutting off the United States, Xi demonstrated the very reason why President Trump is trying to make us a self-sufficient country, especially when it comes to communist China.

If Xi is willing to cut off these critical minerals in a trade dispute, what do you think he would do in a war? If we have to worry about Beijing blackmailing us now, of course we’re going to have to worry about it in a war!

When Trump brings up the possibility of tariffs on pharmaceuticals, the entire globalist infrastructure of America tries to scare the daylights out of everyone taking medications by saying drugs will then cost more. There are ways to mitigate spikes in drug prices.

What there is no immediate solution for is the disturbing reality that we are dependent on communist China for the medications Americans will need in the event of another pandemic or war.

Surely, everyone understood the irony and the threat during COVID when our entire country was forced to shut down and more than 1.2 million people died from a virus that leaked out of a Chinese communist lab in Wuhan.

Our doctors and nurses did not have personal protection equipment because it was all made in communist China.

We were told to buy masks to stop the spread of the virus. Many of those masks, like the virus itself, were made in communist China.

If we had other conditions or illnesses, we were told to stay on our medications, which were also made in communist China.

And yet we’re also being told, “We are the most powerful nation in the world. No one can touch us. We’re as safe as we can be!”

No, we’re not. Our “global interdependence” – the goal of globalist elites – has made us extremely vulnerable.

The Second Tell

In a card game, a “tell” is a change of behavior that offers hints on what a player may be thinking. A tell can be anything from physical movements to a slip of the tongue. We just got another tell from one of America’s leading globalists, Janet Yellen.

She is a former Treasury secretary, former chairman of the Federal Reserve, and a professor at the University of California at Berkeley. She is as far removed from the thinking of Middle America as you can possibly get.

Yesterday, while addressing Trump’s tariff policies on CNBC, Yellen said that bringing back manufacturing to the United States was “a pipe dream.”

Really? So, according to Yellen, the greatest nation in the world should satisfy itself with not making things. We’re all going to earn a good living by just selling coffee to each other, working at restaurants, or being professors at Berkeley.

But just in case there was any confusion about her remarks, Yellen suggested that it probably even isn’t “a desirable goal” for manufacturing to come back to the United States.

There it is, folks. In that interview, Yellen was a stand-in for the globalist elites who gutted Middle America and destroyed countless communities by closing 90,000 factories and trading away millions of American jobs to communist China.

The globalists created a country where the very top does incredibly well, while the bottom half struggles with unemployment, growing drug addiction, and the inability to buy a home and provide for their families.

Yellen flies around the world and meets with other “Janet Yellens” to talk about what a grand thing they accomplished with globalism. When she and other elites are worried about who will cut their grass, they just bring in a bunch of “serfs” from the Third World across the open borders they love.

Left-wing Violence

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced yesterday that the FBI, working with other law enforcement agencies, arrested the individual who firebombed a Tesla dealership and the Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It’s good to know the FBI is back to tracking down criminals instead of conservatives.

Press reports showed a photo of the suspect. I noticed he was wearing blue lipstick. Being the intellectual giant I am, I immediately thought to myself, “There’s something more to this story.”

It turns out that he’s a member of “500 Queer Scientists,” no doubt an outstanding organization that will soon have chapters at your local schools. [Sarcasm Alert!]

In related news, members of the Trump administration are regularly facing vile death threats. Robert King was arrested in Texas for threatening to kill ICE agents and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

This thug posted on social media, “I truly hope, and I mean this with all my heart, that Kristi Noem meets a horrible and agonizing demise. . . I hope she is ripped apart in a gulag.”

Aliakbar Mohammad Amin was arrested in Georgia for repeatedly threatening to kill Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, her husband, and her family. In one message, Amin wrote, “The home you two own . . . is a legitimate target and will be hit at a time and place of our choosing.”

Last week, Shawn Monper from Butler, Pennsylvania, was arrested for threatening to kill ICE agents and for threatening to assassinate President Trump. He also threatened to kill Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC). Monper made these threats online under the username “Mr. Satan.” (What’s going on in Butler?)

These arrests come on the heels of a rash of “swatting” incidents against conservative social media influencers. Swatting is when someone calls the police and falsely reports a hostage situation or possible murder at someone’s home, sending police SWAT teams storming into an innocent person’s home with guns drawn.

At the very least, the targeted individual and their family are traumatized in the middle of the night. The real objective, however, is to get the swatting victim, who believes his home is being invaded, killed by the police when he attempts to defend himself and his family.

Meanwhile, CNN is struggling to find examples of left-wing political violence, saying it’s really a matter of “right-wing extremism.”

Left-wing Lunacy

Disgraced reporter Taylor Lorenz spoke for many of her deranged leftist comrades when she praised a murderer this weekend on national television. Referring to Luigi Mangione, the man who assassinated United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, Lorenz said:

“So, you’re going to see women especially that feel like, ‘Oh, my god, like, here’s this man who’s a revolutionary, who’s famous, who’s handsome, who’s young, who’s smart, he’s a person that seems like this morally good man, which is hard to find.”

How sick is that? There is nothing “moral” or “good” about this murderer.

The narrative that Mangione was somehow mistreated by United Healthcare and is the real victim is widespread among the Left. Many so-called “progressives” celebrate his cowardly act of shooting Thompson in the back.

But there’s no evidence he was ever a client of United Healthcare. His motivation appears to be frustration with the healthcare system generally, and he decided the solution was to kill a top insurance executive.

Now we have punk rock singers calling for “an army of Luigis.”

In this atmosphere, the leaders of the political Left should be saying to their unhinged base every day, “Stop this now!”

This political violence is a “threat to our democracy,” not Donald Trump trying to secure the border.

Happy IRS Day

It’s April 15th – time to give the IRS even more money. Here are some facts that add desperately needed perspective to the efforts of President Trump and DOGE to shrink the government and cut waste, fraud, and abuse.

  • In 2019, the federal budget was $4.4 trillion.
  • The federal deficit that year was $984 billion.
  • Interest payments on the national debt totaled $375 billion.

  • In 2024, the federal budget was $6.8 trillion.
  • The federal deficit that year was $1.8 trillion.
  • Interest on the national debt was $881 billion.

Between 2019 and 2024:

  • The federal budget ballooned by 55%.
  • The annual deficit skyrocketed by 83%.
  • Interest payments on the national debt exploded by 135%.

Yes, the pandemic occurred during that time frame, which required emergency spending. But such spending increases are unsustainable. The emergency is over. The emergency spending must also be over.
