The hostile media is reporting that President Trump wants to cut defense spending by 50%. That’s not what he said.

 

Trump told reporters today that it is insane for nations to keep building nuclear weapons. If they’re ever used, they could destroy everything. President Trump would like to see the world go in another direction.

 

He said if we could get nations to stop building nuclear weapons and engage in more effective diplomacy, we might be able to dramatically cut defense spending, even by 50%.

 

 

 

Israel vs. Iran

 

The Washington Post is fretting over U.S. intelligence reports alleging Israel will strike Iran’s nuclear weapons program sometime over the next six months. Whoever leaked this information to the media must be found and fired!

 

But our “intelligence” on Iran has been wrong before. Years ago, the “experts” told us that Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program. Thanks to Israel, we discovered how wrong that was.

 

Here’s the bottom line: The radical Iranian regime has repeatedly vowed to wipe Israel off the map. It has repeatedly attacked Israel through its terrorist proxies in Hamas and Hezbollah. If the ayatollah ever got his hands on a nuclear weapon, his dream of a second Holocaust would become a reality.

 

Israel will never allow that to happen.

 

 

 

The Anti-Trump Conspiracy

 

John Lucas at The Federalist has a shocking report that should outrage every American. It was disturbing enough that New York federal Judge Paul Engelmayer thought he could block the president and the secretary of the Treasury from overseeing the activities of the Treasury Department.

 

Lucas points out that no federal judge has ever blocked the president and a cabinet secretary from looking at a cabinet department’s records. This was unprecedented.

 

Is this part of a conspiracy to undermine President Trump?

 

Lucas argues that because of the incredibly short time between the initial legal filings and the issuing of the restraining order, it is impossible to believe that Judge Engelmayer actually read and considered any of the relevant legal material before him.

 

Lucas concludes that the “fix was in, and this outcome was predetermined.”

 

The “threat to democracy” is not a president and Treasury secretary trying to eliminate waste. The threat is a judge who prevents the president and his cabinet officials from doing their jobs!

 

Rep. Eli Crane has drafted articles of impeachment against Judge Engelmayer.

 

By the way, Joe Biden not only defied the Supreme Court on student loans, he also defied the court on his COVID eviction ban. Somehow, the left never saw either one of those abuses as a “constitutional crisis.”

 

 

 

Left-wing Lunacy

 

Remember that Chinese spy balloon Joe Biden allowed to travel across the entire country only to shoot it down over the Atlantic Ocean after its work was done?

 

The government now says that technology from at least five U.S. high-tech companies was in the balloon that Biden allowed to collect sensitive military data.

 

Clearly, the Biden/Harris administration dropped the ball on preventing the export of technology that the communist Chinese could use against us.

 

But consider this: Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, Maxine Waters, and all the other screeching Democrat demonstrators were nowhere to be seen when the communist Chinese were stealing information from America.

 

Yet they’re ready to “fight in the streets,” claiming Elon Musk is stealing private data when he examines the “books” of cabinet departments. (See next item.)

 

Just another reminder that the left hates Christians, conservatives, and Trump populists more than they hate America’s enemies. It is clear with every passing day.

 

 

 

Gold Bars & Big Grants

 

Late last year, a Biden EPA official was caught bragging that they were “tossing gold bars off the Titanic.” He was talking about orders from the Biden White House to get every last dime in the agency’s budget out the door before Donald Trump took over.

 

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin just announced that he found those “gold bars.”

 

“Roughly twenty billion of your tax dollars were parked at an outside financial institution by the Biden EPA,” Zeldin said. “This scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history, and it was purposefully designed to obligate all of the money in a rush job with reduced oversight.”

 

Zeldin demanded the immediate return of the entire balance, adding, “The days of irresponsibly shoveling boatloads of cash to far-left activist groups in the name of environmental justice and climate equity are over.”

 

This outrageous scheme to funnel your hard-earned tax dollars to leftist groups wasn’t limited to the EPA.

 

During the Biden administration, the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) directed nearly $23 billion in grants to non-profit organizations. The non-profit groups used the money, including cash assistance, to provide illegal aliens with cars, homes, and business startup funding. Of course, Uncle Sam’s generosity was a “giant magnet” for more illegal immigration.

 

A fiscal watchdog organization said this is just another example of the government “using non-profit groups as ideological proxies.” Government bureaucrats give out “vast sums” of your money to these “charities” in order to evade accountability.

 

Nearly $1 billion was given to just two organizations. I’m sure it’s just a complete coincidence that the ORR director previously worked for both organizations. It would be interesting to know if any of the director’s family members just happened to be on the payroll of one or both of these groups.

 

Here’s another example.

 

The State Department and USAID gave $27 million to the Tides Foundation – one of the biggest funders of radical far-left organizations in the United States. In some cases, USAID grants were given to other groups that acted as “pass-throughs” by sending that grant money to the Tides Foundation.

 

The Tides Foundation has funded anti-Israel organizations and groups that give legal aid to anti-police protesters and Antifa extremists.

 

This is why the left is screaming mad about Elon Musk and DOGE. They have exposed the corrupt nexus of Democrats and government bureaucrats using your money to fund the far left. And now Donald Trump is cutting off the cash and defunding the left.

 

Trump is not threatening democracy, but he is threatening the Democrats’ fringe base.

 

 

 

The Confirmations Continue

 

Congratulations to Tulsi Gabbard! She was confirmed 52 to 48 by the Senate yesterday to be Director of National Intelligence. I know she will do an outstanding job. Gabbard is one of the most important Trump nominees, so her confirmation is a tremendous victory.

 

And there are more victories to celebrate!

 

One nominee who hasn’t made much news is Brooke Rollins. She was confirmed today to be Secretary of Agriculture. Rollins did yeoman’s work leading the America First Policy Institute during the time between the first and second Trump administrations.

 

She first rose to prominence during her leadership of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Brooke is a perfect example of the “strong and intelligent women” who are defining the conservative movement today.

 

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was confirmed 52 to 48 this morning to be Secretary of Health and Human Services. The job of reforming our medical system and making America healthy again will be a tremendous battle. Kennedy is in for the fight of his life, but with President Trump in his corner, I am optimistic Kennedy will accomplish great things.

 

Another Trump nominee successfully advanced today. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved Kash Patel’s nomination to lead the FBI, and a confirmation vote by the full Senate will likely take place early next week.

 

 

 

The Lone RINO

 

If you follow these things closely, you may be wondering who the “squishy” turncoat was who voted against Gabbard and Kennedy, since there are 53 Republican senators but they only got 52 votes.

 

Well, the usual suspects are senators like Susan Collins, who holds a difficult seat in Maine and frequently breaks ranks. But it wasn’t Collins.

 

Then there’s Lisa Murkowski in Alaska. No, it’s not her. She voted for Gabbard and Kennedy.

 

Bill Cassidy, who voted with Democrats to impeach Donald Trump, was very hostile toward Kennedy. But it wasn’t him either.

 

No, the lone RINO on both confirmation votes was Kentucky’s Mitch McConnell, the former long-time Senate Republican leader. He also voted against Pete Hegseth. And on the same day he voted against Gabbard, McConnell published an editorial attacking Donald Trump’s trade and tariff policies.

 

It’s impossible to thank McConnell enough for his work over the years shepherding conservative judicial nominees through the Senate, and especially for preventing Barack Obama from replacing Antonin Scalia with Merrick Garland.

 

But, for whatever reason, he now seems determined to stain that great record by regularly undermining President Trump.

 

 

 

Europe Under Siege

 

A car plowed into a crowd in Munich, Germany, today. More than two dozen people were injured. The day before, a hand grenade was thrown into a bar in Grenoble, France.

 

Drivers do accidentally lose control of their cars. But an Afghan refugee was behind the wheel, so it looks like a terrorist attack, not an accident. People usually don’t throw hand grenades into bars. While the suspect in this incident hasn’t been identified yet, I have my suspicions.

 

I understand why European countries are worried about Russian aggression and aren’t happy about the war in Ukraine ending without Russia losing. But if they are really worried about their existence, they should start getting serious about the enemies inside the gates.

 

These western (formerly Christian) nations are on a demographic path to becoming majority Muslim nations not that far down the road.
